About ORPC
The Office for Research Partnerships and Commercialization (ORPC) was founded in November 2000 to develop and manage the intellectual property portfolio of the University of New Hampshire.
The mission of the ORPC is to:
- Build research partnerships that result in commercialization and economic development.
- Serve as the focal point for advocacy and support of UNH's intellectual property.
- Provide faculty and staff with information on, and assistance with, intellectual property protection by patent, copyright, or other means.
- Facilitate transfer of University research results to the public by bringing scientists and the business community together in relationships of mutual advantage.
- Focus statewide through the EPSCoR Program (goal is to increase a state's science and technology resources) and the New Hampshire Innovation Research Center (a matching grant program funded by the NH Legislature).
